tecahers' day....

Yesterday was Teachers' Day. I knew this from Neha's Blog. This is not my fault, no one told me ab this. I am already 22+ and no more respect teachers like school kids or ancient disciples. For me, teachers are a group of professional who read once, deliver many times and get money many times. It's like an ever green business in which you have to invest only once.

In school, we used to celebrate teachers' day. Actually, we never do anything, Teachers do everything, starting from arrangement for food packets to setting up microphone, podium, etc. We used to have debate competition in this day. Once I had participated in such kind of competitions and forgot everything I had mugged up as soon as I reached the podium. Hence, the next day I was knelled down for 1 hour for poor performance.

Then in +2, teachers day was like another ordinary day to bunk classes. Only the front benchers gift pens, cards and diaries to them. In +2, he hate teachers becoz most of them taught us only one chapter through out the year.

In engineering, teachers' day was like another day to party. We needed to party, so we invented the reason. In our section, we had a group of boys who always sit behind the girls. They were responsible for everything. The day before, they used to send us sms to bring Rs. 50/- for teachers' day celebration. On that day, first we avoid them, then we give money with a lot of hesitation and they take with sheer ecstasy.
They invite the lab assistants, lectures, professors and HOD. But we were never invited. We had to attend the ceremony voluntarily so that we get the minimum "return on investment". The poor teachers were made to speak before us. They were served coal drinks and snacks.

But now my study life is over. I may not get a chance to even celebrate this great day again.
